Hellooooo! Welcome to CINEMANIACS!! This blog was started because my very good friend and fellow movie buff Loren and I are tired of reading pretentious movie reviews. We are sick of people who are somehow deemed qualified by society telling us that certain movies are "must-sees" and others are a "waste of time." We hereby now officially deem ourselves qualified to review movies based on a lifetime love of/addiction to cinema. Note I say "review" and not "judge" because that's not what we are here to do. We are merely here to give our opinions based on nothing but our own particular (and fantastically eclectic) taste in movies. AND we're not just going to review new movies,oh no. We're going to talk about old ones too because just because they're older doesn't mean they shouldn't be talked about.
Prepare yourselves for some bi-coastal, open minded, un-pretentious, and totally kick-ass movie reviewing!

Hey all,

Welcome to Cinemaniacs! 

We are here to provide our reflections of both current and past films. I referred to our reviews as reflections because as my counterpart conveyed our reviews will contain our opinions and inform you however they should not corrupt you. Remember you should take all reviews with a grain of salt. They will be free from the, now all too common, blatant attacks on films deeming them “superb, must-sees” or “box office bombs.” We have had an obsession with films for the better part of our lives and collectively we have viewed an inordinate amount of American cinema. We will tell it like it is and do our utmost to refrain from posting comments that may be potentially deemed pompous. Remember every movie is worth seeing because every film has something to offer even if it is what not to do in a film.
